Kartu su šeima Eglė Aukštakalnytė Hansen gyveno Jekaterinburge (Uralas), Maskvoje, Nairobyje (Kenija), Maputu (Mozambikas), dabar vėl yra grįžusi į Keniją. Daug keliauja po visą žemyną, aktyviai dalyvauja labdaros veikloje, šiuo metu organizuoja visuomenines akcijas, kurių tikslas - telkti Kenijos žmones dėl genčių nesantaikos kilusiems neramumas taikiai išspręsti.'via here
